Easy ways to reach Ziro
Ziro is a beautiful town in the Arunachal Pradesh state of India. Those seeking a relaxing vacation and secluded places, Ziro could be the destination. Amidst mountainous terrain, Ziro is also inhabitat largely by the tribal communities. One can feel a much needed pause in life here, since the life in Ziro is mostly slow paced and peaceful.

Reaching Ziro via air
The nearest airport is the Jorhat airport of Assam, which is at a distance of about 98 kilometers from Ziro. From Jorhat airport, you can book an intercity cab to take you to Ziro.
If you are an international traveler, we suggest reaching Ziro via Guwahati international airport. It is at a distance of about 450 kilometers and can take half a day to reach Ziro, but is a comfortable option.
Reaching Ziro via train
There is no direct railway station in Ziro. The nearest station is at Naharlagun, which is about 100 kilometers far from Ziro. The next closest railway station is at Lakhimpur at a distance of 117 kilometers. There are regular intercity trains to these stations from Guwahati and some major north-east Indian cities. You can take private taxi from these stations to reach Ziro.

Reaching Ziro via road
There are private tour buses and government-run buses enroute Ziro. But these buses are not regular and the private buses operate subject to bookings. The government-run buses operates daily at night from Guwahati to Ziro. From other neighboring cities, the state transport buses operate four days in a week.
You can also choose to self-drive or ride shared/ private taxi, as the roadtrips are pretty popular in the region.
