Best time to visit Dwarka and how to reach
Dwarka is the land of Lord Krishna located in the Gujarat state of India. It is a historic city famous in the world for the historic Dwarkadhish temple. One can feel the enchanting praise of Lord Krishna in the atmosphere of the city.

Reaching Dwarka by air
The nearest airport from Dwarka is located at Jamnagar. It is about 135 kilometers far from the city. There are regular flights from different parts of India to Jamnagar airport. After reaching Jamnagar, you can book an intercity cab to cover the remaining distance.
Porbandar airport is closer (about 95 kilometers from Dwarka), but there are more frequent flights to Jamnagar.
If you are an international traveler, you can land at Mumbai international airport. From here, you can either travel to Jamnagar by train or flight and then a taxi from Jamnagar to Dwarka.
Reaching Dwarka by train
Dwarka has its own railway station connected with major cities of India. The Dwarka railway station is well within the city and you can grab a rickshaw or taxi to reach your stay.
Reaching Dwarka by road
If you prefer road-travel, you can find regular buses to Dwarka from different cities of Gujarat. There are both state-run buses and private tour buses for Dwarka.
You can also self-drive or ride a private cab to reach Dwarka, as the road is smooth and safe.

Best time to visit Dwarka
Dwarka has a moderate climate throughout the year, hence any time is best to visit the city. But, if you want to experience the grandeur of the festival, then we recommend visiting the city during the time of Krishna Janmashtami. This festival marks the birthday of Lord Krishna and is celebrated in the month of August / September according to Hindu calendar.
