How to reach Agra

Reaching Agra via air
Agra’s Kheria airport is a domestic airport. If you are an international traveler, you can catch connecting flight from New Delhi Airport. Reaching Agra from Delhi via air shall hardly take an hour. The Agra airport is about 13 kilometers away from the city. You can book a cab from the airport to drop off at your desired location. Reaching city from Agra airport might take 10-15 minutes.
Reaching Agra via train
There are regular trains from Delhi, Jaipur, Gwalior, and Jhansi to Agra. There are 5 railway stations in Agra, out of which the Agra Cantt Railway station is the main and central. We suggest avoiding the railway journey during the months- October to March, as you may find the trains excessively crowded.
From Agra Cantt Railway station, Taj Mahal is the nearest monument to visit. You can easily get pre-paid taxi, auto rickshaws, and even cycle rickshaw to reach Taj Mahal.
Reaching Agra via road
If you prefer road to travel, there are two options. Either you can board the State Government bus or you can hire private taxi. There are intercity buses as well, connecting neighbouring cities to Agra. However, we suggest getting a cab if you are traveling with luggage. If you are in a group, then hiring a private cab to reach Taj Mahal can be economical also, since the fare distributes. You can also try getting Delhi to Agra cab, which could be the easiest travel option.
