No cash handling
Exchanging cash during these times is not a great idea. You never know that the currency note you are handling could be previously handled by someone who is already infected with the COVID-19 virus. This is the reason why, Gozo has decided that all transactions need to be done in a cash less manner.
Pay online only
As a process – you must pay advance for your trip at the time of booking. The remaining about has to be paid by you to the driver after the trip starts. Before corona virus pandemic, we allowed you to pay the remaining amount to the driver in cash mode but now all remaining amounts shall need to be paid using an online mode of payment.
We urge you in planning to pay for your cab fare using online methods you board for a trip with us to avoid unnecessary contact with the driver. You will make a partial advance payment while you book a cab. The remaining amount is also required to be paid by you online for a no-contact and a safe trip.
This is one more way Gozo is taking action to reduce the risk of person-to-person transmission of the virus.
