Bohag Bihu : It is celebrated in April to mark the beginning of the Assamese new year and welcome spring season. It is also known as Rongali Bihu.

Kati Bihu : It is also known as Kongali Bihu. It is celebrated during mid october to protect the maturing paddy crop.

Magh Bihu : It is also known as Bhogali Bihu. It is a harvesting festival celebrated to mark the success of farming.

Rangoli Utsav

It is an important festival celebrated at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in the month of April. It corresponds to the Bohag Bihu festival, the one celebrated to mark the Assamese new year. Ambubachi Mela

It is a one of a kind fair and the biggest carnival in the whole of Assam. It is celebrated in the month of June to commemorate a belief that during this time, Goddess Kamakhya undergoes her annual menstruation cycle.

Brahmaputra Beach Festival
